Intelligentsia has consistently set the bar for exceptional coffee since the mid 90s. We redesigned their e-commerce experience, crafting an experience that captured the essence of their exquisite coffee, facilitated discovery of products and educated consumers in the art of brewing coffee.

Savor Visual Flavors
Intelligentsia's distinctive roasting process makes it difficult to judge a coffee's taste online. To overcome this, we used evocative visuals to highlight the flavor profiles. From category pages to product details and filters, our imagery made the taste experience tangible. To complement the captivating photography, we adopted a minimalist editorial style with ample white space.
Coffee Match Quiz
To enhance consumer understanding of Intelligentsia's flavors and boost conversions, we designed a quiz that matched preferences to specific coffee profiles and suggested tailored selections. This personalized approach not only educated consumers about the intricacies of Intelligentsia's coffee offerings but also increased the likelihood of repeat purchases and positive customer experiences.
Brewing Perfection
To ensure customers fully appreciate Intelligentsia's coffee, we provided detailed guides on grinding and brewing techniques for the perfect cup. Additionally, we shared in-depth information about the company's mission, approach to sourcing and roasting, and commitment to sustainability. This comprehensive education empowered customers to understand the craftsmanship behind each cup and appreciate the unique qualities of Intelligentsia's coffee.
